It’s me, Bob, coming to you from Cincinnati, Ohio

Hello, world! My name is Bob Gilbreath. Glad to meet you. You’ve got questions, and I’ve got answers:

What’s your writing for?

My writing is for people in business who are pushing the envelope and could use some help on the journey. Fellow readers here tend to be leaders of people, entrepreneurs, work in startups, or are in corporate tech and/or innovation jobs.

Sound good? Then just add your email below and we’re off to the races!

Why is this worth my time?

OK, you need a little more info, eh? I like that. A couple of points:

  • I know you’ve got a full inbox and no shortage of content to wade through. I won’t give you to-do’s, should do’s, and inbox homework assignments. I’m here to share personal stories that make you feel something and teach a helpful lesson that might stick weeks, months, or years from now.

  • I’ve had a lot of business experiences, including selling two companies for $50 million each—with lots of ups and downs in between. You can skim my profile on LinkedIn.

  • I have been writing about business and innovation for a long time. Aside from my substack history, you can find previous posts on Medium and LinkedIn. And I had a book published by McGraw-Hill called The Next Evolution of Marketing: Connect with your Customers by Marketing with Meaning.

  • I’m writing because I love to help others. Every success I’ve had in my career is a product of getting advice and insights from others—including strangers who wrote posts like mine. So this is my way of paying it forward.

What can I do to help?

Glad you asked! Writing like this is about helping people gain helpful insights when needed. The more people discover good writing, the more positive impacts we writers can make.

Instead of spending my writing time praying for viral hits on social media, I count on appreciative readers to share my work with people in their networks who might also find value.

So if you find something valuable here, please forward an email to friends or post on social media. That way, we can all cut through the algorithms and help each other to tease out the good stuff.
