I have observed that the leaders who have consistently invested in building capabilities through qualitative activities (e.g., mentorship, coaching, sponsorship) and quantitative investment (e.g., formal training) are actively practicing the science of leadership. Simply: the best leaders build more leaders and have the evidence to prove it. Simple, not easy.
