Novice managers might just say “fire them!” But anyone experienced knows there are dozens+ reasons why it can be hard to fire someone… but yes, it does no good keeping them around!

Your advice about dealing directly and promptly with toxic employees is spot-on. While these situations are challenging to handle, the repercussions from NOT handling them are wide-ranging and far, far worse.

Right! It's too bad that our Fears stop us from doing what's right. We imagine what bad will happen if we act, but fail to imagine how much worse it can be if we don't act.
